Level loop carpet is more known in the commercial market than the residential market. Commercial loop carpeting is often used in schools, office buildings and places with heavy floor traffic.

Loop piled carpet constructions and projects requiring hard wearing soft surfaces choose commercial loop styled due to there hard and durable wear life. Their looped tight, the pile height is somewhere between 1/4" to 1/2" thick. Hard wearing weights are considered to be 26 to 38 ounces. Nylon fiber is the reigning king supreme here. Nylon will stand up to very heavy traffic, constant cleaning and never ending floor traffic. Just think of the traffic in a high rise office complex or airport. Most commercial carpet is even treated with anti-bacterial agents and has static control to prevent people from being shocked in areas where climates are constantly changing.
